Distiller and financier George Gooderham joined a group of wealthy friends to build a first-class hotel in 1903. As Sally Gibson’s An Illustrated History of the King Edward Hotel demonstrates, the King Eddy has had a long and distinguished history on King Street East and a strong link to Gooderham’s other enterprises.
