The Malt House interior was photographed by Larry Turner in the mid-1980s when the barley and “maltsters” were long gone, but the sturdy structure remained intact. The ground malting floor displays the distinctive short and thick columns that supported heavy timber beams and stood on a waterproof floor where barley was spread out, watered, raked, and turned over until it sprouted.

L’intérieur de la malterie (Malt House) a été photographié par Larry Turner en 1986, alors que l’orge et les « maltiers » avaient déjà disparu depuis longtemps, mais que la structure bien solide du bâtiment était restée intacte. Au rez-de-chaussée de la malterie, on observe bien les typiques piliers courts et épais qui portent les lourdes poutres de bois et qui sont installés sur un plancher étanche où l’orge était étalé, arrosé, ratissé et retourné jusqu’à sa germination.
